Week two of the Chill Series took place last Thursday which drew more competitors than opening night. The juniors and intermediates stole the show in this rail only session.
With the wind blowing and the thermometer well below zero Big Air was out of the question. This opened up a whole new game where we saw the juniors and intermediates throw down unbelievable rail runs.
I’m not sure if it’s their Frosted Flakes for breakfast or their rubbery skeletons that allow these kids to maneuver their bodies in crazy ways, but it was amazing to watch and they definitely stole the spotlight from the seniors.
Max Moffat was the story of the night, twisting and spinning on the rails in ways that would make Tanner Hall jealous.
Daniel Gilbota and Landon Jones put together solid runs and were strong contenders for top point achievers at the end of the night. In the end, Max’s 450s off the rails were just too smooth to ignore, and he was voted the “Rider of the Night” by his peers.
Congratulation to Max and all the riders who threw down. We look forward to watching these juniors and intermediates hold it down in next week’s Big Air!

Thanks Nevin, I will have Shawn fix this!
I’m a program rider and I didn’t compete in week 1, but I did in week 2. My name isn’t in the results though.
