The Chicopee Chill Series got back on track last Thursday despite Mother Nature’s best efforts to ruin it once again. The high winds did put a damper on the comp as it shifted the series focus from big air to rails only.
This wintery night saw half the amount of competitors, but poor visibility didn’t stop these riders from showing off their skills! The Botterman brothers busted out the one-arm-buddy-spin on the box, Max Moffatt was stomping his 450’s, Landon Jones and his oh-so-smooth style, and we can’t forget Development Team Rider Maxine who had the eye of the tiger as she participated in her first Chill Series comp.
In the end it was Evan MacIntyre, Max Moffatt, Landon Jones and Dan Elgar were the top point achievers in their respected devisions and an ‘electrifying’ Stuwart Dow took home the peer voted ‘Rider of the Night’ prize.
Congrats to everyone for making it through the night! Hopefully Mother Nature will bring us some good weather for next week’s crowd-pleasing Big Air.
